It’s good news for Delhi people as India has introduced a new digital visitor service at the National Zoological Park in New Delhi. With the launch of the NZP Saahi mobile app and self-ticketing kiosks, the scheme aims at improving visitor navigation and ticketing. Want to know more about it? Scroll down.
Delhi Launches NZP Saathi App & Self-Ticketing Kiosks
Announced on June 7, 2026, by the Ministry of Environment, Forest and Climate Change, the app is intended to ease access to zoo facilities and encourage the broader use of digital tools in public spaces. The new tools blend mobile-based guidance with self-service ticketing services. Together, they intend to make visits easier to plan and manage while supporting the park’s broader efforts to modernise services and strengthen public engagement.
The NZP Saathi application is available on both Android and iOS platforms and can be used as a digital guide for visitors to the zoo. The app includes an engaging map and smart navigation features that help users locate animal enclosures, restrooms, buggy points, exits and other amenities within the park.
The best part? Tourists can also opt for themed routes through the park. These include options such as an Express Tour, Family Tour, Grand Zoo Tour and a personalised “My Tour”, permitting users to plan their visit specifically by time, interests or group size.

The digital platform forms part of larger efforts to improve public engagement and accessibility at cultural and educational places. Apart from the mobile application, self-ticketing kiosks have also been set up within the zoo to allow faster and more convenient ticket purchases. The kiosks also support UPI-based digital payments and provide free Wi‑Fi connectivity so tourists can book tickets online.
NZP To Focus On Animal Welfare & Conservation Education
As per the reports by Open Gov, the Minister of State for Environment, Forest and Climate Change, Kirti Vardhan Singh, during the visit, also reviewed multiple operational and educational efforts at the zoo. He further viewed an exhibition of artworks made by students who participated in the Summer Vacation Programme 2026, which promotes young people learning about wildlife conservation. The minister also met zoo officials and the section in charge to assess ongoing programmes and discuss plans for improving infrastructure, management practices and overall services.
