The two-storeyed bar-cum-eatery in Delhi’s Greater Kailash 2, Sidecar has made it to Asia’s 50 Best Bars list this year! The award ceremony was supposed to take place at the Capitol Theatre in Singapore, but in the wake of the coronavirus scare, it went online. The announcement was live-streamed on 14th May 2020 and Singapore’s bar Jigger & Pony bagged the top position. The Old Man and Coa, both in Hong Kong, China bagged the second and third positions respectively. Sidecar was ranked 40. The list includes bars from 10 countries including India, Thailand, Indonesia, Greater China, Malaysia, Japan, Hong Kong, South Korea and more.
Sidecar Is Ranked 40 Among Asia’s 50 Best Bars
Sidecar, Delhi has been placed in the 40th position in Asia’s 50 Best Bars 2020. Also, this is the very first time that a bar from India featured on the prestigious list. With its exquisite wooden interiors, opulent bar counter and ravishing live music, Sidecar is one of the most loved bars among the party goers of Delhi. They bring to the table a wide array of sassy cocktails and lip-smacking comfort food. Regulars at this place are a fan of the G & T cocktail, which is a soothing blend of classic gin, Himalayan pinewood smoked tea and orange water. Even in these trying times, it landed up to the list of the best bars! The cocktail bar has also won the award for The Best Bar in India 2020.

Other Indian Names In The List
There are many Indian faces from other nations that got featured in the list of Asia’s 50 Best Bars this year. Sandeep Kumar’s co-founded The Wise King, Hong Kong ranked 18th on the list. Another Indian, Devender Kumar is the Bar Manager of Otto E Mezzo Bombana, Hong Kong, which ranked 28th. The Pontiac, Hong Kong, ranking 35th has Harsh Roopchand as a hospitality, food and beverages and Events specialist.
