How Does This Service Work?

Besides the introduction to other airports, there is also work underway to enhance the experience for users and expand these services for international travel. For those who aren’t aware of how this service works, all the passengers need to do is, just register their details on DigiYatra App. It uses Aadhaar-based validation and self-image capture after which, the boarding pass is scanned and is then transmitted to the airport. Once the passenger reaches the airport, they can scan the barcoded boarding pass. And the facial recognition system at the gate validates the passenger’s identity and travel documents. Once the verification is completed, they can proceed to enter the airport.

Yes, it is as simple as this sounds and once this validation is complete, the passengers will then have to go through the standard security clearance procedure before they can board the aircraft.

At this point, it’s also worth mentioning that a new DigiYatra App is now available on Google Play Store and App Store for both iPhone and Android users.
