In a recent post on the popular social media networking platform Instagram, the official account of the Mumbai airport made an announcement. The post said that they would be starting a Domestic-To-Domestic (DTD) transfer facility at the Terminal 2 of the Mumbai Airport.

According to the Instagram post, the facility will give direct access to the concourse of domestic departures. Furthermore, it will also ensure faster processing of the passengers and seamless connections to flights. What is more, this facility will also have four security lanes that will ensure that the passengers go through security checks faster and long queues can be avoided.

Since the post was made more than three hours ago, many commenters are applauding this new development at the airport. Many feel that this move was quite overdue and it is about time that Mumbai airports started such a facility.

The post was accompanied by the caption “#MumbaiAirport is thrilled to announce that we would soon be operationalizing a new Domestic To Domestic (DTD) transfer facility at Terminal 2.” The caption also said that “The augmented infrastructure will include 4 security lanes for smooth and comfortable journey.”
