Airport security is known for being quite strict and because of this, people are often caught bringing along some of the weirdest and even dangerous things in their luggage. As a result, people are often detained due to such suspicious belongings that in turn leave many people detained at the airport for long hours. Moreover, something similar recently happened to a Dubai-bound man, ready to board a flight from New Delhi to Dubai, who was detained by the authorities for live cartridges in his luggage.
Dubai-Bound Man Detained At IGI Airport
According to a report by the ANI, Amrish Bishnoi, a Dubai-bound passenger was detained at the Indira Gandhi International Airport in New Delhi, India after he was caught with six live cartridges. Not to mention, he did not have any valid documents for carrying this live ammunition! As it happens, an officer from the airport did reveal that the man have an all-India pistol licence from the Uttar Pradesh Government, in a report by the Deccan Herald. As a result, a case has now been registered against this man at the airport police station!
Not The Only Incident Of A Man Being Detained
It should also be noted that the detained passenger was supposed to board an Emirates flight. However, further details about this case are still awaited. Not to mention, this is not the first time that a passenger has been detained at Delhi’s Indira Gandhi International Airport. Recently, another man was detained after a co-passenger, heard him say the word bomb. While it was later discovered that the man was telling his mother about him not being allowed to carry a coconut on the flight on the suspicion of it being a bomb, but was instead allowed to carry pan masala. So, because of the entire ordeal, the flight had been delayed for quite some time.
Such incidents really do make us feel grateful for the security forces at the airport.
