Dubai Reef sets a course for sustainability, with plans to deploy 20,000 purpose-built reef modules across a vast expanse of 600 square kilometres in Dubai’s azure waters. Crafted with precision and foresight, these reef units, boasting a cumulative volume exceeding 400,000 cubic metres, serve as sanctuaries for marine life and bastions of biodiversity.

Each reef module is meticulously designed to mimic natural coral formations, providing an ideal habitat for a myriad of marine species. By enhancing biodiversity and promoting ecosystem resilience, Dubai Reef aims to revitalise marine ecosystems that have been impacted by climate change, pollution, and overfishing.

Charting A Collaborative Course

In adherence to the directives of Sheikh Hamdan and The Executive Council of Dubai, the Dubai Reef project stands as a testament to the power of collaboration. Bringing together a constellation of strategic partners, including DP World, Dubai Chambers, Nakheel, and Emirates, among others, the project embodies Dubai’s commitment to collective action in pursuit of environmental excellence.

The collaboration extends beyond the realm of corporate entities, encompassing local communities, scientific institutions, and environmental organisations. Through knowledge sharing, capacity building, and public engagement initiatives, Dubai Reef seeks to foster a culture of environmental stewardship and empower individuals to contribute towards marine conservation efforts.
