Dubai RTA Announces Free Parking During Eid Al Fitr

The Dubai RTA has announced free parking for the next six days, on the account of Eid Al Fitr. In addition, there will also be a change in the timings for public transport.

What’s It?

With Eid Al Fitr holidays coming up next week, the Dubai RTA has announced free parking through the week. A spokesperson to the RTA said: “All paid parking zones, except for multi-level parking terminals, will be free to use from Sunday, June 2, to Friday, June 7. Fees will be reinstated as of Saturday 8 June 2019.”

Further, revised public transport timings have also been announced on the account of the week-long holiday.

Metro

The Red Line will function from 6:00 am to 2:00 am on 3 June, 10am to 2am on June 7 and from 8: 5am to 2am on 8 June.

The Dubai Metro Green Line will function from 6: 5.30am to 2am on 3 June, 10am to 2am on 7 June, 5.30am to 2am on 8 June. The Dubai tram services will function from 6:00 am to 1:00 am Saturday to Thursday and from 9:00 am to 1:00 am on Friday.

Bus

Main bus services will be available from 4.25 am to 00:29 am. The Al Ghubaiba Station will function from 4.14am to 00:58am, while sub stations like Satwa will start from 4.57am to 11.03pm. Services to Al Rashidiya, Mall of the Emirates, Ibn Battuta, Burj Khalifa, Abu Hail, and Etisalat will be available from 5.05am to 11.35pm. The Jebel Ali station will operate from 5:00 am to 11:30 pm.

Service Centres

Customer service centers will remain closed from 2 June to 8 June. Services will resume on 9 June. However, the Smart Customers Happiness Centres at Umm Ramool and RTA Head Office will be open round the clock.
