Are you planning to go all out this weekend and celebrate life with your gang at your favourite club? If yes, then we have a piece of news for you. A circular has been issued by the Government of Dubai and Dubai Police announcing a dry night in Dubai this week on the occasion of Isra Wal Mi’raj. Isra Wal Mi’raj falls on Thursday, March 11 this year, and as per the circular, no alcoholic drinks will be served inside Dubai between 5 30 PM on Wednesday, March 10 until 6 30 PM on Thursday, March 11 to regard the occasion.

No Alcohol Will Be Served In Dubai For 25 Hours 

It means that no alcohol will be served for 25 hours. This rule applies to all hotels, bars and clubs. No alcohol will be displayed in bars of restaurants either, and some outlets remain closed for the entire period.

Isra Wal Mi’raj Is Not Included In The Public Holiday List

If you are wondering what Isra Wal Mi’raj is then, it’s the Night Journey & Ascension observed on the 27th day of the month of Rajab – the seventh month of the Islamic calendar. The vent marks the night Allah took Prophet Mohammed on a two-part journey from Mecca to Jerusalem and then to heaven. Their journey was packed with many wonders and miracles.

Hence, to celebrate the occasion, there will be a dry night this week. However, while there will be a dry night, UAE-ites will not have a long weekend as Isra Wal Mi’raj is not included in the list of public holidays that was announced for 2021.
