Dubai has once again proved why we call it the city that has everything! The glam city has yet again been crowned to be a top global holiday destination. Tourists over the world have voted to make Dubai rank for the second consecutive year. The Royal Family has been beaming with happiness after listening to this news. Sheikh Hamdan, Crown prince of Dubai even took to Twitter to announce the rank.

Based on millions of traveller evaluations posted on Tripadvisor between November 1, 2021, and October 31, 2022, the top cities for the yearly awards were selected. In order to realise His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai’s ambition of making Dubai the most visited and livable city in the world, the city has made major efforts to support its thriving economy and tourism ecology.
After the epidemic, the Emirate’s tourism industry has made a significant comeback in the last two years. According to data from Dubai Economy and Tourism, the city welcomed 12.82 million overnight visitors between January and November 2022. The figure exceeded the six million tourists mark it had the previous year.

794 hotels with more than 145,098 rooms opened their doors throughout these 11 months. And the occupancy rate was an impressive 73%.
According to the most recent World Travel and Tourism Council data, Dubai also saw the largest global traveller spending in 2022. A total of 108 billion dirhams in expenditures were recorded.
In the most recent World’s Best Cities report 2023, the emirate was rated first globally and the fifth best city overall.
