Dubai-ites take a lot of pride in the things the emirate has to offer. Be it amusement parks, cafes, majestic skylines or even natural sites, Dubai has it all. And one thing, which has gotten popular with time is Dubai’s Love Lake, which is located in the Al Qudra desert. And guess what? You can now spot the Love Lake from space as well. Yep, you read that right. UAE-made satellite, KhalifaSat has now captured a beautiful picture of Love Lake from the space, and we are in awe.

Dubai’s Love Lake Picture Was Captured From Space By KhalifaSat

An image of Dubai’s Love Lake, taken from space by KhalifaSat, was shared by Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre on Monday. The lake, which has gotten quite popular with time, was first revealed by Sheikh Hamdan on Instagram in November 2018. He shared the picture on Insta and unveiled an unusual lake in Dubai — it is shaped like two interlocking love hearts. And since then, it’s a hotspot only for tourists but also for locals.

UAE Set To Send The First Arab Mission To The Moon By 2024

For satellite, KhalifaSat is the first Emirati-made satellite and was launched into space in October 2018. And if you think that the satellite has only captured this image, then you must know that it has images of places around the world. Ain’t that super cool?

Meanwhile, the UAE will send the first Arab mission to the moon by 2024. The mission- a part of the Mohammed bin Rashid Space Centre’s (MBRSC) 10-year strategy includes programmes to develop new specialised satellites as well as an outer space simulation centre. The new space centre is expected to be used for training, academic and educational programmes.
