The Eiffel Tower in Paris is one of the most romantic places on earth. The perfect place for a proposal, Insta-worthy pictures with bae and a honeymoon like no other. Built in the 19th century by Gustave Eiffel, the 300m tall, wrought-iron tower is one of the most visited monuments in the world. So, here’s news that will leave you surprised. The Eiffel Tower just grew by 6m. Read on to know the reason behind this.

Eiffel Tower Is Now 6m Taller After Installation of New Antenna

The Eiffel Tower now measures 330 metres after a new digital radio antenna was attached to the top of the monument in Paris. The world’s most-loved monument grew by 6 metres(19.69 feet) after the antenna was airlifted and attached to the peak of the Eiffel Tower by a helicopter. Over the years, the monument has not just been known as a romantic tourist site but has also been used for broadcast transmission for over 100 years. Interestingly, the height of Eiffel Tower’s pinnacle has changed numerous times with ageing antennas being replaced.
