Amid the surge in COVID cases and lockdown-like curbs in Maharashtra, you might want to escape the mundane and book yourself a hotel, resort, or villa in Maharashtra. But the question is, with the new curfew rules, will you be allowed to travel to the outskirts of your city? Are the Maharashtra hotels and resorts open? Here’s what you need to know.

Most Properties Are Available For 2 & 3 Nights Bookings

While the properties on bookings platforms such as Airbnb and Booking.com are open and available for bookings, you may not be able to travel freely to reach these properties as the government has allowed essential travel only. That said, your best bet would be to travel on the weekdays between 7 am to 8 pm. Many homestays are available for a minimum of two night stays on weekdays and three nights on weekends.

Please note that moving in and out of the property will not be allowed and the government has allowed guests to move out only for valid reasons.

No Weekend Check-In Allowed In MTDC Resorts & Hotels

The MTDC hotels and resorts are currently open. But in keeping with the current state of guidelines, you must check in to a particular hotel or resort on a weekday during the non-curfew hours. You will not be allowed to travel or check into a property on weekends. And while travelling is a slippery slope right now, driving in your private car can be safe to visit villas, resorts, and homestays near Mumbai and Pune.
