There has been a lot of buzz around the upcoming Navi Mumbai International Airport in the last few years and we finally know what the airport will look like. Yes, GVK has revealed the first look of the airport and it looks nothing short of incredible. The airport will have a recurring lotus motif with long fluid lines and sprawling concourses. here’s everything that makes it stand out.

1. World-Renowned Zaha Hadid Architects Is Designing The Airport

The GVK has been in charge of Mumbai’s second airport designed by Zaha Hadid Architects. But here’s an interesting fact. It is the same firm that designed the massive Daxing International Airport in Beijing. Therefore, we can expect it to look all kinds of awesome after completion.

2. The Airport Complex Will Have 3 Terminals

3. The Airport Has The Capacity To Handle 90 Million Passengers A Year

The new airport will have two parallel runways and will be able to handle 90 million passengers per year when it is fully complete and operational. This number is double than that of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj International Airport, Mumbai that currently handles approximately 40-50 million passengers annually through single-runway operations.

4. The Airport Will Be Connected By A Metro Line, Water Transport & Expressway
