India’s youngest airline, Akasa Air, has inaugurated its maiden flight from Goa, which is the 12th city on its network. Goa is the third city in the western part of India after Mumbai and Pune to be a part of Akasa Air’s network. Beginning January 11, the airline will offer double-daily flights from Goa to Bengaluru and Goa to Mumbai. With an additional flight every day from February 1, the airline will increase its frequency from Goa to Mumbai.
Akasa Air Inaugurates Flights From Goa From January 11
The maiden Akasa Air flight from Bengaluru to Goa landed at 11:10am on January 11 at the New Goa Manohar International Airport (Mopa). The airlines will be operating daily flights on the Goa-Bengaluru and Goa-Mumbai routes from January 11. On January 12, two more flights will be introduced, which will operate daily except Wednesday on the Goa-Mumbai route. From January 25, the airlines will be introducing daily flights on the Hyderabad-Goa route as well.
Goa has recently emerged as the manufacturing base for many leading companies in India and is a very famous tourist destination. Goa is the 12th destination on Akasa Air’s fastest-growing network. By adding Goa to its network and connecting it with Bengaluru and Mumbai, the airline displayed its commitment to strengthening India’s important transportation links.

Expanding Its Presence Pan-India
Akasa Air’s operations in Goa will help increase tourist footprints and also boost the economy while catering to travel demand. Co-founder and Chief Commercial Officer of Akasa Air, Praveen Iyer, said that the team is pleased to take off for their 12th destination. The happiness is a little extra as this comes just five months after the commercial launch. The company is on its way to creating a strong pan-India presence, with new aircraft arriving every 15 days.
The airline recently announced Hyderabad as its 13th destination in India. It will be offering daily flights on the Hyderabad-Goa and Hyderabad-Bengaluru routes, commencing January 25. Akasa Air commenced operations in India in August 2022. The airline’s operations have been steadily expanding, with more than 5 lakh revenue passengers in just the first six months. By December 2022, the airline aimed to operate 500 flights each week, and it has succeeded in doing so.
