Winter is here, which means it’s the perfect time to tuck into a comforting bowl of sweet gajar ka halwa. But when food trends are around the corner, even the humble halwa is not spared. While Chef Saransh Goila shocked the Internet with karela ka halwa, a food blogger introduced foodies to her homemade Parle-G halwa. Is this a G for genius idea? Read on to find out.

Parle-G Halwa Makes Its Internet Debut

Twitterati who goes by @MFuturewala shared a video of a food blogger preparing Parle-G halwa. To prepare the halwa, the food blogger first adds ghee to a pan. Next, she roasts Parle-G biscuits until they turn golden brown and keeps them aside. Once the roasted biscuits cool down, she crushes them. Next, the blogger adds sugar and water to a pan and lets it melt. Then, she adds milk powder and crushed biscuits and mixes them together. Finally, she garnishes it with chopped almonds and pistachios. Voila! The Parle-G halwa is ready.

Netizens In Two Minds About This Dish

She suggested foodies eat this “mouth-melting” halwa as it is or shape them into small balls as laddoos. Well, Netizens had mixed reactions to this dish. Many questioned why was a need for this recipe in the first place. Others called it a recipe for heart attack. but there were few who were genuinely thankful for the recipe and said they’d like to try it.
