We saw rapid inflation in the fuel prices in India in the last couple of months. Talking about the fuel prices in India, today is the 20th day of unchanged petrol prices. The petrol price is still constant since 6 April 2022 after the oil marketing companies increased the prices by ₹10 per litre in 14 different price hikes.

All the states in India faced the rise in crisis part but the intensity of this surge differs in every state. The changes in the fuel prices come into action from 6 a.m. every day. The retail prices of petrol and diesel are varying in every state. Also, local taxes like VAT or freight charges play a role in the different fuel prices in India. Bharat Petroleum Corporation Ltd, Indian Oil Corporation Ltd, and Hindustan Petroleum Corporation Ltd update the fuel prices regularly in check with the international prices and foreign exchange rates.
