A picture of an auto-rickshaw in Assam has left netizens on Twitter awe-struck. Erik Solheim, a Norwegian diplomat posted a picture of an auto-rickshaw driver sitting in his vehicle. But it’s not an ordinary auto-rickshaw, it’s an extraordinary one. The roof of the rickshaw has a mini-garden with well-trimmed glass. Potted plants adorn the sides of the vehicle. It’s a lush green Garden on Wheels experience.

This Innovation Protects Passengers From Summer Heat

While it’s unknown when this picture made a debut on the internet, Hindustan Times reports that a post with the same picture was seen in 2021 on the Assam Alert Facebook page. The picture was captioned that the rickshaw driver grew grass and set up potted plants in his vehicle to save his passengers from the sweltering summer heat. The picture went viral garnering over 21,000 likes. Many lauded the rickshaw driver from Assam for his innovation, and others wished they had such an auto in their city as well.
