Get E-Tickets For Parking In Abu Dhabi Now As Payment Machines Got 5G Smart

Good news for the residents of Abu Dhabi! As the emirate begins transitioning Mawaqif parking payment devices to a 5G smart system, drivers in Abu Dhabi will now get digital parking tickets. On Monday, the Department of Municipalities and Transport’s Integrated Transport Centre (ITC) announced the modifications and said it has already started installing the new equipment. Let’s check out more details about this new parking 5G facility in Abu Dhabi.

How Can We Get E-Tickets For Parking In Abu Dhabi?

As per the implementation of Mawaqif parking fees in 2009, the emirate will switch from issuing printed tickets to issuing electronic tickets. Drivers may get their citations by following the on-screen prompts, which include picking a parking type and providing the vehicle’s details. Mawaqif cards, cash, and credit/debit cards are all acceptable forms of payment.

Drivers may purchase parking passes through Mawaqif machines or use the Darb app. You’ll have to pay Dh2 per hour for a conventional parking spot (shown in black and turquoise) and Dh3 per hour for a premium spot (shown in white and turquoise) between 8 am and 12 am every day. Sundays are free parking days in the emirate.

The 5G Smart Machines Support Sustainability With E-Tickets

According to ITC, more than 1,200 5G-compatible devices will get installed in various areas. However, the whole procedure will be finished by the end of this year. Removing paper tickets promotes sustainability in the emirate while digitalising the public parking payment system strives to enhance customer services.

As a result of the machine’s connection to the Central Parking Management System, public parking will manage through an integrated digital network. Several public parking lots in the capital city have cameras placed by Mawaqif to keep an eye on parking offences and are linked to the digital network.
