Sühring, which has held two Michelin stars for a few years now, has officially become Thailand’s newest three-Michelin-starred venue. According to a report by CNA Luxury, the stars were awarded during the 2026 Michelin Guide Thailand launch ceremony held at the Ritz-Carlton Bangkok. It was not just a milestone for the restaurant but also an emotional moment for the twins, who dedicated the achievement to their grandmother. As per the report, she was the one who inspired their love for cooking, and since then, they have not looked back. The official Instagram page of the restaurant, @restaurant_suhring, also shared the good news and wrote, “Three Michelin Stars
Endless Gratitude.”
Sühring is also recognised as one of the best restaurants not only in Asia but in the world. It specialises in German cuisine, and honestly, no one does German food better than these twins. Sühring ranked number 22 in ‘The World’s 50 Best Restaurants 2025’ and number 11 in ‘Asia’s 50 Best Restaurants 2025’. And now, with three Michelin stars, it has become a must-visit spot for anyone visiting Bangkok soon.

Recipes Curated Using Classic German Techniques
The twins have turned a 1970s villa into a warm and romantic dining space in Bangkok. The restaurant features a lush garden and floor-to-ceiling glass windows overlooking the tropical greenery. Mathias and Thomas Sühring often incorporate native German techniques in their menu. According to CNA Luxury, they use old-school methods like pickling, curing, smoking, and fermentation in their recipes, which makes their dishes feel extra special and magical.
Some of their most famous dishes include Scallop with Pumpkin and Kelp, Roast Duck, Smoked Pigeon & Duck liver Terrine, Spätlze Egg Noodles and more. According to the same report, the new achievement came as a surprise to the twin brothers. It comes after years of hard work, sacrifice and all the ups and downs that have brought them here today.
So, if you are in Bangkok or planning a trip soon, we suggest visiting this three-Michelin-star restaurant, Sühring. It should definitely be on your bucket list.
