What Is It?
The Municipal Corporation of Gurugram has started the planning for the development of Gurugram’s first sports complex with facilities and infrastructure matching global standards.
According to the plan, the complex will be set up in Gurugram sector 52-53 and will cover an area of approximately 10.8 acres. The estimated expense in the building of the sports complex is around Rs 132 crores.

What’s In It?
The complex shall include a shooting range, swimming pool, and a multi purpose hall for sports like basketball and tennis. It shall also have a 100 and 200m racing track and a stadium capacity of 3000 people.
The sports complex shall also have a swimming pool unlike any other in Delhi NCR. The pool shall be made keeping in mind international standards and would be 17.5 m in width and 50 m deep. The complex shall also have a parking lot with the capacity of almost 300 cars.

What’s More?
Apart from sporting facilities matching global standards, the sports complex shall also have state-of-the-art medical facilities and assistance including MRI machines and basic first aid supplies. The complex shall also have a solar power system worth Rs 5.50 crores.
While the detailed project report for the complex is still under works, the work is estimated to start after the elections.
