Mumbai is a melting pot of cultures and as such, it is a haven of diverse food habits and cuisines. Talented culinary Magellans push the boundaries of gastronomy with their innovative dishes. However, as the old adage goes, too much of a good thing is a bad thing. Similarly, too much innovation is not always a good thing. Take this Junglee Sandwich for instance. It starts out innovative but ends as nightmare fuel for foodies everywhere.

Street food in Mumbai is one of the best in the country. However, there are a few vendors who push it to the extreme. This sandwich vendor in the Borivali neighbourhood of Mumbai is selling what is aptly called a “junglee” sandwich.
It starts out pretty tame with the bottom layer smothered in butter and chutney and then covered with baby corn, onion, capsicum and mayo. Then he adds the second layer which is where it all starts to go downhill. If you’re a hater of Hawaiian pizzas, you’ll definitely hate this as well.
The vendor then proceeds to slap slices of canned pineapples on the sandwich. Then he adds jalapenos, more mayo and cheese. On the top slice of the bread, the vendor slathers what looks like pineapple jam. Yes, you read that right! Then he grates more cheese and other toppings on top and serves the sandwich with a pile of chips.

Needless to say, this monstrosity masquerading as a sandwich got a lot of funny reactions from Netizens who pounce at any opportunity to make jokes. One commenter said that the vendor was basically cleaning out the old contents of his fridge and found a way to charge people for it.
Another commenter said that the sandwich should go straight into a commode and be flushed down. Another commenter chided the vendor for selling such unhealthy food items.
