What Route To Go For?

It is highly recommended you first consider how much time you have before you choose any route. Secondly, how much of Ladakh you want to cover and what level of challenge you want to go for? After you have zeroed down on these factors, you can choose from two possible routes.

The first one- Delhi-Jalandhar-Jammu-Srinagar-Kargil-Leh-Karu-Sarchu-Manali-Delhi, your round trip route. This route will let you cover around 2,300 kms and also has best weather and road conditions.

The second one- This will offer you more distance, challenge and quite rough roads. It’s the Delhi-Manali-Sarchu-Leh-Khardung La-Nubra Valley-Kargil-Srinagar-Delhi route. It will let you cover around 2,600 kms. Also, this route has more scintillating landscapes.

Fuel And Biking Gear Tips

On a mileage of 35 kms per litre, you will be needing around 100 litres of petrol (rounded off). Also here’s a tip. The price hikes are hard to keep up with, so add some extra bucks to your overall budget for the trip. Now, just fuel and a bike isn’t enough for your first bike trip to Ladakh. You have to also prepare all the neccesarry gears and equipments that you will have to carry along . For the biking gears, a full face helmet, eye goggles and solid gloves are a must. Few leather jackets, trekking shoes, first aid kit, maps, camping materials come next. Also dont forget a knife, torch, matchsticks. Keep yourself safe against any potential danger!
