Planning international travel with multiple pandemic restrictions in place can be a tricky affair. If you do not know the rules of the countries you’re visiting or transiting through, you might end up getting stranded or quarantined, or you might even have to return back. You’ll have to face unwanted hassles, which will cost you money, time and energy. Here is a list of a few things you need to keep in mind to avoid getting stuck in a country:
1. Stay Updated
Amid the uncertainties of the pandemic, rules keep changing frequently. So you need to keep yourself updated with the latest information. Keep a check on the websites of embassies, airlines and more for the latest information. Check the Government of India’s Bureau of Immigration website for travel and visa restrictions ( also click here).

2. Know The Entry Rules
Be careful with the entry rules in your destination as well as transit airports. Check whether RT-PCR tests or vaccination certificates are needed from your country, whether you need to quarantine, whether you’re barred from visiting a particular place before flying, etc. If your doubts are not cleared from the websites, you can call up the airport authorities directly. Remember, the transit guidelines are as important as the destination guidelines.

5. Does The Destination Country Approve The Vaccine You Have Taken?
Every country has its own list of approved vaccines. So, even if you’re fully vaccinated, you might face entry difficulties if your vaccine is not on the destination country’s approved vaccines list. So, remember to check the vaccines list of the destination country beforehand.
