Here’s How To Plan A Destination Wedding Amid Multiple Waves Of The Pandemic

Having marriage on the cards but don’t know how to start planning due to the uncertainties of the pandemic? Amid statewise caps on the number of guests, test and vaccine requirements, planning a destination wedding can be tricky. But doing a bit of research on the wedding industry, we zeroed on certain points which might aid in making your plans easier. So, how to pull off a fairytale destination wedding with the pandemic woes in place? Here are the tips and tricks:

1. Keep The Number Of Guests Limited

Big fat weddings look lavish, but keeping the pandemic situation in mind, it is best to keep the number of guests as limited as possible, even if you’re making your bookings way ahead of the actual wedding date. It will not only be safer but will also ensure that you won’t have to cancel invitations in case new restrictions come up around the time of your wedding.

2. Avoid Choosing Wedding Venues In Destinations With High Number Of Cases

Do not choose your wedding venues where virus cases are witnessing a rise. Try to choose destinations that are remote and far from the crowd and at the same time, can be reached without many break journeys.

3. Ensure That Your Guests, Decorators And Other Organisers Are Vaccinated

Set some safety protocols for your wedding and ensure that all your guests, decorators, catering personnel, event managers, security personnel, etc. are fully vaccinated. If any of your guests are coming from highly affected cities/countries, ask them to reach early and quarantine at least for a week, even if there is no guideline from the state.

4. Invite Guests To Different Events

In case you have a long list of guests and you’re unable to trim it down too short, invite different people to different functions. Spacing out your wedding can aid in social distancing and at the same time, ensure that all your loved ones are a part of the ceremony.

5. If Possible, Book A Private Chopper For Your Guests

Booking an entire helicopter for your guests can be an expensive affair, but can ensure travel in utmost safety and opulance. Or even if you’re not opting for a chopper, try to opt for private cars, buses and modes of transport that do not involve coming in contact with many outsiders. Try to ensure that your destination isn’t too far from your city so that you can easily book private vehicles within budget.
