They will ensure that dealers regularly get their oxygen cylinders refilled from designated refilling plants. The Delhi government order also revealed that a provision of lump-sum allocation of oxygen cylinders will be made for non-Covid hospitals, nursing homes, individuals, ambulances, and SOS cylinders of Covid hospitals, running on LMO. These provisions have already been made against re-fillers. Each district has been assigned a re-filler. Meanwhile, Delhi has also launched a portal to accept donations for critical medical equipment from India and abroad.

What’s The Purpose Behind This Initiative?

The reason behind providing online oxygen cylinders lies in the fact that there were long queues at cylinder refilling plants. This put the safety of the public at risk. The online portal has been launched to streamline the entire distribution of oxygen cylinders under the supervision of district magistrates. Moreover, the public can also easily get access to these cylinders which will accelerate their recovery from Covid under home isolation. Apart from ordering oxygen cylinders online from the Delhi government website, you can also procure oxygen concentrators from the NGO Khalsa Aid.
