As the sun sets, the sanctuary comes alive with the stirring of nocturnal creatures, especially the iconic sloth bear. Here, you can embark on thrilling safari experiences, particularly in the evenings when sightings from Machans (watchtowers) are organised, as sloth bears are primarily nocturnal.

In addition to its charismatic residents, Daroji Sloth Bear Sanctuary is a paradise for birdwatchers. It has over 70 species of birds thriving within its boundaries. From the colourful painted spurfowl to the majestic peafowl, the sanctuary offers ample opportunities for bird enthusiasts to observe and admire.

A trip to the sanctuary would not be complete without climbing the watchtower. It is positioned to provide sweeping views of the surrounding area and its residents. During the magical evening hours, you can watch the bears come down from the nearby hillocks from this location.
