In a bizarre turn of events, Xora pub in Hyderabad recently grabbed a lot of attention for all the “wildest” reasons. Didn’t get the hint? This pub in Jubilee Hills made headlines after viral videos circulating on the Internet showed customers interacting with exotic animals inside the pub. Here’s what actually went through.

Xora Pub In Hyderabad Brings Exotic Animals In Premises

The popular pub in Hyderabad, Xora is nestled on Road Number 36 in the city’s posh locality Jubilee Hills. The nightclub went viral on social media for featuring exotic animals on its premises. The videos and pictures from the nightclub went viral were customers were seen holding a python. A customer had an iguana on his back. Some were even holding exotic animals and dancing. An exotic feline creature was also kept in a cage.

According to a report by Siasat.com, the Inspector of Police Jubilee Hills stated they’re investigating this matter with the help of forest officials. Xora’s team stated to news agencies that the animals were obtained legally and attendees at the bar were safe and sound. In their words, the animals were also handled with care and diligence, keeping safety measures in mind.

Xora also took to their Instagram story to announce clarifications on the same. The Hyderabad nightclub apologised for bringing exotic animals to the club on Sunday night. They admitted that no amount of reasoning was justified. Xora went on to condemn animal abuse in any form and pledged to not repeat such mistakes again.

Police Rescue Animals After Raids

Meanwhile, the police arrested 6 people after conducting raids at Xora Bar & Kitchen. They went on to rescue 3 Bengal Cats, 2 iguanas, 14 Persian cats, 2 Sugar Gliders and 2 Cocktools. The owner of Xora Bar & Kitchen, Vinay Reddy and Prudhvi, the operational manager of Xora Pub was among the 6 people arrested.

This incident in Xora is really alarming. After all, bringing exotic animals to a pub, without prior permission puts both the animals and the customers’ lives at risk. We hope such incidents pertaining to exotic animals don’t happen in the future.
