“I Can Have The Same Food Three Times In A Day,” Shares Mouni Roy About Her Food Habits

The Bengali sensation, Mouni Roy, is winning hearts with her brilliant acting skills and mesmerising beauty. On this Dusshera Sunday Brunch, this bong beauty met with our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani at Badmaash in Andheri West, Mumbai. For those who don’t know Badmaash is Mouni’s venture into the F&B industry. This restaurant now has two outlets in Mumbai. While on the topic of food, we learned that she can eat the same meal throughout the day! Yes, the same set of dishes; read on to know more.

Mouni Roy Can Have The Same Meal All Day And Night

It was Dussehra special with Mouni Roy, a Bengali girl, so we were not going to miss out on having a bunch of Bengali sweet dishes and more. We started with a simple question of what the Sunday brunch comprises at the Roy residence. In response, she said she adores having Bengali food prepared at home.

In light of this last sentence above, she informed us that she doesn’t mind eating the same kind of sabzi, egg curry and dal thrice a day! Looks like she cooks or gets her cook to prepare her food in one go and is satisfied with the same meal for the whole day. She also mentioned that as long as it is prepared at home, she will relish the same food three times a day.

Before getting into Sunday Brunch-ing with our guest, we played a fun game of Mouni’s food preferences. We are going to be honest with you, we gave her choices that were more like Mumbai v/s Kolkata food. It is safe to say she kept a balance between the city’s food options and did not disappoint Mumbaikars or Bengalis. Kamiya asked her if she liked Mumbai’s ladi pav or Bengali’s luchi and she picked luchi.

Then we also learned that apparently, Mouni Roy hates desserts. We gave her a choice between gajar halwa or sondesh and she retorted that she prefers none. “Hate desserts,” she said and Kamiya recalled that she once told us about a particular Bengali sweet. To this Mouni enthusiastically said, “Nolen Gur Sondesh.” It was a surprise but we told her that we got this sweet dish for her and she appreciated our efforts! Where are all the Nolen Gur Sondesh lovers?
