Recently, on this Dussehra special episode of the Sunday Brunch, the beautiful and talented Mouni Roy joined our Editor-in-Chief, Kamiya Jani, at Badmaash in Andheri. If you are unaware, Badmaash is owned by Mouni Roy herself. With her recent success on Brahmastra, we couldn’t help but chat about how it was on the film sets. She lets us in on the fact that even though the love between Ranbir and Alia bloomed on the sets of Brahmastra, they were very professional right from the beginning.
Mouni Roy’s Experience Of Working With Ranbir & Alia On Brahmastra
Mouni Roy performed outstandingly in Brahmāstra: Part One, Shiva as Junoon. It was the first time she was playing a negative role, and it is easy to say that she slayed it perfectly. Her portrayal of Junoon carved another vital niche for her in the audience’s mind. We don’t think anyone could show the rage and anger she did. And, oh, thanks to her big and beautiful Bengali eyes, she cast a spell on the audience.
Mouni Roy told us that many people are unaware that the second film she signed was Brahmastra, and she leapt films. We were extremely eager when she mentioned Brahmastra because she deserves all the hype around it. When we were on the topic of Ranbir and Alia, Mouni told us that both of them adhered to being extremely professional about their work, and she did witness it as well.

She added, “They are such big stars but they would be on set in their chairs with their lines the whole day.” She also confirmed that they would be present for “every single rehearsal” for the movie. Do we agree that they kept it professional on the sets of Brahmastra?
She First-Handly Witnessed Ranbir & Alia’s Budding Love Story
Keeping in mind the popular lines from the Kesariya song “Kajal ki siyahi se likhi, hai tune jaane, kitno ki love storiyan…” We wanted to dig up some love storiyan that brewed on the sets of Brahmastra. Kamiya mentioned to her, “You were one of the first ones to witness the Ranbir-Alia love story on the sets of Brahmastra.” Mouni just laughed out loud and replied, “That we don’t talk about, we don’t talk about.” We were not going to let it go so easily, even though she subtly refused to talk about it.
Kamiya again tried to gather some exclusive gossip about the same, which was again futile, and then we let it go. We are pretty sure all the fans of Ranbir-Alia reading this are just face-palmed. Well, guys, we tried; we really did. Hats off to Mouni for being extremely professional about it. It looks like we have to ask Ranbir Kapoor or Alia Bhatt about their budding love story on the sets of Brahmastra. Shivaaa….
