Delhi To Promote Tourism Through Films

Delhi was the shooting location for many movies like Rockstar, Pyar Ka Punchnama, PK, Delhi-6, Tamasha, Vicky Donor, Band Baaja Baarat, Mere Brother Ki Dulhan and Love Aaj Kal, among others. Many regional films too have been shot in the Capital. Movies are one of the best ways to promote a particular location to a large number of audiences. Thus the government of Delhi has approved the Delhi Film Policy 2022 to promote Delhi via films.

Under the policy, a ₹50 crore fund will be launched to help film producers. Sisodia has stated that the Delhi Film Policy 2022 will be the most ‘progressive film policy’. He added that it will create employment opportunities and also give a boost to the economy.
