Aye Halo! We’re just a few days away from celebrating the amazing nine nights of the year. Navratri this year starts on October 11, and there’s no better place to celebrate it than Gujarat. In Gujarat, Ahmedabad and Vadodara are known for their grand Navratri celebrations, with each year bringing bigger and more exciting events. Here, we’ve listed some of the best Navratri events to visit in these two famous Gujarat cities!

1. Mandapam

Mandapam is one of Amdavadis’ favourite Navratri events. The event is known for its non-stop music that continues till sunrise. Garba enthusiasts get over 2,00,000 sq ft of space to dance and celebrate. During Navratri, many Amdavadis make sure to visit this event at least once.  Popular actors Janki Bodiwala and Yash Soni have also joined Garba lovers at the Mandapam. 2. Chowk Na Garba

Another one of the best Navratri events is Chowk Na Garba. Here, people enjoy Mandli-style Garba to the sound of shehnai and dhol. The signature element at this venue is the smoke in the centre of the Garba circle. It is dhup smoke that creates a beautiful effect under the lights. There is a Navratri event in Ahmedabad that starts at midnight. Yes! At After 11:59 PM, people gather here to start playing Garba at 12 AM. The shehnai and dhol players sit in the middle of the ground, while Garba lovers perform Mandli-style steps in circles around them. The decorations will leave you in awe. 4. Swarnim Nagari

If this Navratri, you’re not in the mood to play Garba in an open ground, Swarnim Nagari is the place to be. This event is bringing Ahmedabad’s premium AC dome experience for Garba lovers. The venue will have City of Krishna-inspired decor, making it one of the must-attend Navratri events in the city. Garba Princess Aishwarya Majmudar will perform live for 10 days. 5. Divi Garba

Divi Garba in Ahmedabad has a ‘dusk-to-dawn’ theme. Like most of the events in Ahmedabad, here the Garba continues till morning. 6. Shankus Sheri Circle

8. Lukshmi Vilas Palace Heritage Garba 

Lukshmi Vilas Palace Heritage Garba is famous for bringing traditional Garba to the grounds of one of India’s grandest palaces. The palace itself is nearly four times the size of Buckingham Palace.
