This episode of Laughter Chefs begins as all the other ones do, with laughs and cravings! But this one was served with controversy, too. Aprons were on, jokes were flying, and a challenge that was clearly designed to test both culinary skill and common sense was made: make an extra-large paratha and an extra-large lassi. Not “big,” not “family size,” an actual Extra-large paratha. It is the kind of food that makes headlines and makes people ask, “Is this even meant to be eaten by one person?”

The Culinary Challenge: Mastering The Extra Large Paratha

Returning to what Laughter Chefs does best, celebrating food as a celebration of love and laughs, the episode’s challenge was the deadly (in a good way) extra-large parantha + extra-large lassi. 

An extra-large paratha is not simply a scaled-up version of the everyday flatbread. These are parathas that stretch beyond plates, often two feet wide, sometimes weighing over a kilo, rolled and stuffed to the edge. Making one requires different instincts altogether. The dough has to hold its shape, the stuffing has to cook evenly, and the heat has to be managed patiently. These parathas are cooked on oversized tavas, flipped with effort, and served not as individual portions but as centrepieces. You don’t eat them, it’s more like you gather around them! 

The extra-large lassi exists for a good reason. Thick, slow-moving, and frothy to the brim, it’s usually served in an oversized kulhar or steel tumbler, sometimes with a skin of malai floating on top. It cools you down after the ghee hits hard. It’s meant to be shared, passed around, and finished only when everyone agrees they’ve had enough.

1. Tapasya Paratha Junction, Rohtak (Haryana)

This place is legendary for parathas that arrive looking more like serving trays than bread! Stuffed generously and cooked hot, these parathas are known to feed groups. Finishing one alone is considered a personal achievement.

2. Prisha Parantha Junction, Uttam Nagar (Delhi)

This spot gained attention for serving parathas over two feet wide, weighing upwards of 1.2 kg. Butter is not measured here, it’s applied unapologetically. People don’t come hungry; they come curious.

3. Jaipur Parantha Junction, Mansarovar (Jaipur)

Known for its 32-inch giant parathas, this place leans fully into food-challenge culture. The parathas are dramatic, filling, and often paired with thick and oversized lassi that completes the experience.

Laughter Chefs: Why Is The Ayesha Khan Episode Trending? 

The episode started trending, however, for reasons that had nothing to do with dough or dairy. Actor Ayesha Khan, who appeared on the show to promote Kis Kisko Pyaar Karoon 2, became the centre of an online debate after comments were made about her appearance. What was intended as humour by comedian Bharti Singh came across to many viewers as body-shaming. She said, “Ayesha aayi toh mujhe laga Krushna wapas aagaya…” Short clips from the episode circulated rapidly, with audiences calling out how casually such remarks are still made on mainstream television. The conversation snowballed, with people still confused as to how Bharti Singh, someone who has faced body-shaming for years, can target another female actor. That paradox made people uncomfortable.

Somewhere between jokes, flour, and frothy yoghurt, this episode of Laughter Chefs became a snapshot of modern Indian pop culture, where entertainment, food, and conversation collide. And whether people tuned in for the drama or stayed for the paratha, they left with something to talk about.
