Goat Yoga To Beer Yoga, 5 Types Of Yoga That Is Popular Across The World

Across the world, people are celebrating International Yoga Day. Today, many people are taking a healthier approach to their lifestyle and have started practising yoga regularly. There are various types of yoga practised across different countries, each with its own techniques and difficulty levels. While some forms look quite common, others can be surprisingly unusual. Here, we have listed 5 unique and popular yoga types in the world that may leave you amazed.

Yoga Types That Are Popular In The World

1. Goat Yoga

This may sound a little weird, but there is actually a yoga form in the world called Goat Yoga. In this unique practice, people perform yoga outdoors while friendly goats roam around them. The playful goats may climb on people’s backs, walk between poses, or even cuddle up on their yoga mats.

2. Naked Yoga

If you think yoga is all about mats and workout clothes, this one might surprise you. Naked Yoga is a practice where people perform yoga without wearing clothes. Yes, no clothes! But why? The goal is to help people feel more comfortable in their own skin and build confidence.

3. Beer Yoga

Love yoga and beer? There is a practice that combines both. In this style, participants perform simple yoga poses while holding a beer bottle. They even take a sip between poses. This type of yoga session is held in breweries or casual social settings.

4. Harry Potter Yoga

For Harry Potter fans, yoga can be a little magical. Harry Potter Yoga brings regular yoga by adding elements from the series. Common yoga poses are renamed after famous characters, creatures, or places from the series, and some sessions even include props like wands and spell-themed activities.

5. Doga

Why leave your furry friend at home when they can join your yoga session? Doga is short for Dog Yoga, and is a special practice that lets people enjoy yoga with their pet dogs. The focus is not on teaching dogs yoga poses but on spending quality time together through gentle stretching, relaxation, breathing exercises, and even a little pet massage.
