Every weekday, Narendra Patil spends two hours at the Dadar Western Line bridge, helping travellers find the right platforms and trains. Without any official role or expectation of reward, he calmly answers questions, directs confused travellers and ensures they reach their destinations without unnecessary delays.
A viral Instagram video shared by @trainsofindia captured Patil in action, describing him as a “Human Indicator” for Mumbai’s railway system. According to the post, he stands at the bridge connecting the Western and Central railway lines from 9:30 am to 11:30 am, assisting hundreds of travellers during the morning rush.
