Post-pandemic, there has been a rise in passenger misdemeanours on flights. Recently, one such case was witnessed on an Air India flight which was headed from New York to the Indira Gandhi International Airport in Delhi. A passenger was booked for abusing and passing racist comments to other passengers as well as to crew members on the flight. Here are all the details that you need to know about this incident.
Passenger On Air India New York-Delhi Flight Misbehaves
According to an article recently published by NDTV, the incident took place on October 1, Sunday on the flight which was numbered AI 102. The passenger, who was identified as Abhinav Sharma and was a resident of Jalandhar in Punjab, started abusing other passengers.
He also abused a female crew member and passed lewd and racist comments. The article also mentions that he then gradually started running around and hurling abuses at everybody on the flight. The cabin supervisor, hence, had to issue a warning to him.
He was first given an oral warning and then a written warning. But when that failed to deter him, he had to be restrained. Upon landing, the incident was reported to the Delhi Police and a case was registered against him.

Other Similar Incidents That Took Place On Flights
There have been multiple instances lately where passengers have misbehaved with crew members or co-passengers. Early this year, there were a slew of incidents where certain inebriated passengers ended up urinating on a co-passenger.
Recently, a SpiceJet flyer also caused a huge ruckus on a flight and was subsequently deboarded because of it. A person from Bihar on an IndiGo flight also caused a disturbance and ended up locking himself in the plane’s bathroom.
