India’s First Medical Cannabis Clinic To Open In Bangalore In February 2020!

Is this the best year or what! India just got its first medical cannabis clinic! It was high time. We are one of the world’s biggest consumers of cannabis after all. This has been long overdue. Bangalore has exceeded our expectations. We are 420% more likely to live there now. India’s first research-based medical cannabis clinic is set to be launched in February 2020. Odisha-based startup HempCann Solutions is calling it Vedi Herbals.  

About India’s First Medical Cannabis Clinic 

Bangalore will soon be home to India’s first research-based cannabis plant. After five years of extensive research in the fieldHempCann Solutions will reportedly sell tablets and oils made from the cannabis plant. The brand name Vedi Herbals will carry a wellness centre and clinic. They will prescribe cannabis-infused tablets to improve health and wellness.

What Are Its Uses? 

They aim to tackle anxiety, inflammation and problems related to sex. HempCann told reporters that lifestyle diseases like stress, back pain and fever can be tackled through their methods. They also said that even chronic illnesses like anorexia can be helped. Further, medical cannabis can help with mental diseases like depression.

Aayushman Narayan from HempCann was quoted saying, “The THC takes care of the inflammation and pain, while the CBD works to boost your body’s immunity, thus completely curing the illness instead of the patient being dependent on a class of drugs to function normally. Herbal remedies backed by traditional, ancient texts and validated by the principles of modern scientific product development are not addictive and have no side-effects.” No side effects on a slow and steady treatment sounds pretty good to us. 

The Process 

Federal agency for health and human services, US Food and Drug Administration, approved HempCann. They have a pan-India license. Any Ayurvedic doctor can provide a prescription for these medicines. Prescription can even be given through an online consultationHempCann was reported saying that they start patients off with the most minimal dosage. They track how they respond and move forward based on the feedback.
