The eatery draws greatly on New York’s underground pub scene and Hong Kong’s pawn shops. Bar guru Lynn Lin (of Beirut’s Electric Bin Sutt bar) and veteran DJ Lobito Brigante from Dubai came up with this concept. The idea, which combines both of their domains of expertise, is sound.

What’s The Vibe Like?
This latest venture is capable of standing apart from most bar scenes due to it’s one its kind concept.
The establishment seeks to blend counterculture, underground music, and modern design. This is a one-stop show to enjoy unique dining and drinking experiences. As soon as you enter the neon-lit bar, which is located on the building’s side, you can feel the rebellious atmosphere.

Concrete floors, unusual interior features, and a whole wall of vinyl behind the DJ booth give the bar’s interior an apocalyptic vibe. A brightly illuminated sign plainly states that the DJ doesn’t quite entertain requests. And rightfully so, as DJ Lobito consistently spins a diverse selection of songs that create a laid-back atmosphere.

Food And Beverages
On the drinks menu, the creative mixed drinks stand out, with their Asia-inspired flavours, decent prices (between Dhs60-Dhs78) and witty names. For those who prefer hops, there are several Asian brands on offer (albeit in bottle form). And in keeping with the theme, there’s a vast rice-based Japanese drink selection.
A food menu (yes, there is one) follows suit, with Asian-Mediterranean appetisers and mains that are worth arriving with an appetite for.
