Italy Eases Lockdown, Reopens Cinemas And Museums At 50% Capacity

Italy is one of the worst affected countries from the covid-19 pandemic. And after imposing a strict lockdown for the past few months, Italy is finally unlocking slowly. The European Country reopened on Monday after Covid-19 cases fell significantly across the country. Here’s everything you must know about Italy Unlock.

Italy Has Divided Its Regions Into Three Zones Depending On The Covid Risks

Italy is reopening slowly in phases. All the coffee shops, restaurants, and cinema halls were shut in the country amid the rising cases- however, now it has eased the restrictions. Italy has given yellow status to 14 regions. The yellow colour stands for low Covid risk zone, and restaurants in the 14-regions are allowed to operate- however, the 10 PM curfew is still in place throughout the country.

The Colosseum Is Now Open For Individual Vistors And Not For Group Tours

Besides yellow, Italy also has Orange and Red levels. There are five regions on the orange level, and one region, Sardinia, is under red alert, as reported by the local media. And keeping the progress and current situation in mind, museums, cinemas, schools and universities are allowed to resume in Yellow and Orange zones. However, for cinemas and museums, the cap has been set to 50 per cent.

One of the prime attractions in Italy- the Colosseum is also now open for individual visitors, but group tours are still banned. Italy recorded nearly 3.98 million covid-19 cases since the beginning of the pandemic and, now, as the cases are on the decline- the country will ease more restrictions which might include the opening of pools and gyms in the upcoming weeks.
