We all are very excited about the upcoming Noida International Airport. From being a greenfield airport to providing tons of spectacular services, the infrastructure is a much-awaited one for so many wonderful reasons. Construction of this airport is going in full swing. Recently, the airport partnered with TajSATS to build an incredible state-of-the-art in-flight kitchen. Read on to know all about this new beginning.

This is a new beginning for both Noida International Airport and TajSATS. When it comes to in-flight catering, TajSATS is surely one of the most prominent and leading names in India. Noida International Airport signed a concession with the catering company on October 26, 2023. This marks the initiation of the project of building and operating a state-of-the-art in-flight kitchen facility at the Noida International Airport. Many amazing services and features can surely be expected here. The partnership with the airport marks the 9th production facility of TajSATS in India.

Mr. Manish Gupta, Chief Executive Officer of TajSATS shared his thoughts on this new partnership with the Noida International Airport. He shared how his team is delighted to partner for this prestigious project. He added, “TajSATS will deliver premium in-flight and lounge catering with its strong network and market leadership, leveraging its 4 decades of experience.”

This collaboration also builds and makes its presence stronger in Delhi NCR as this is going to be its second facility in the region. Mr. Manish Gupta also added, “The pace of addition of airports in India, which include marquee developments such as Noida International Airport presents a tremendous growth opportunity for airline catering.”

Here’s All You Need To Know About The Construction Of The Upcoming In-Flight Kitchen

Taking to the X (formerly Twitter) platform, Noida International Airport (@NIAirport) shared a picture of the new beginning. In the caption of the post, the page shared how this ‘is a major step toward providing our passengers with an exceptional culinary experience!’

  • TajSATS is all set to build the state-of-the-art kitchen facility ‘on a design, finance, build, operate, and transfer (DBFOT) model’ for 37 years. 
  • The plan is to construct the in-flight kitchen on a massive area of 40,000 sq ft inside the airport.
  • In the initial phase of providing services to all the passengers, the kitchen is going to serve more than 15,000 meals every single day.
  • The construction plan is such that it is going to have the capability to ‘serve the lounge facilities and the food and beverage outlets inside the airport and in its proximity’, according to the press release.

Mr. Christoph Schnellmann, the Chief Executive Officer of Noida International Airport shared how everyone is happy to welcome TajSATS to build and operate an in-flight kitchen at the airport. He added, “This partnership is a key milestone for us toward developing a modern, consumer-centric culinary experience for our customers.”
