Jharkhand’s Deoghar Airport Celebrates Tribal Art In Interiors

Deoghar Airport in Jharkhand is spread across 653.75 acres. The airport features a 2,500-meter-long runway that’s perfect for Air Bus 320 type of aircraft to take off and land. At Deoghar Airport, passengers can check in at 6 counters. There are two arrival belts that can handle over 200 flyers per hour. The airport was built to improve mobility for those resing in several districts across Jharkhand’s Santhal Pargana. The airport has been beautifully designed to celebrate local handicrafts and the tribal art of Deoghar.

The main purpose of building Deoghar Airport is to offer direct connectivity to Baidyanath Dham. This is Jharkhand’s significant spiritual abode. A shrine dedicated to Lord Shiva, Baba Baidyanath Dham is a Jyotirlinga temple that is home to one of India’s 12 jyotirlingas. Earlier. devotees could reach the shrine through just a road or railway. Now, thousands of devotees can head to Baba Baidyanath Dham by air. It’s convenient and hassle-free.
