Stir-Fried Octopus Is Yummy And Is Definitely Worth Trying

Nakji-bokkeum or stir-fried Octopus is a popular dish in Korea. The preparation of Nakji bokkeum requires chopped octopus and your choice of vegetables. But it’s better if you include onions, green onions, cabbage, and carrots in your fry. Start with making a marinade with gochujang (red pepper paste), soy sauce, garlic, salt, and sugar. Once done, mix the octopus and vegetables together, and then marinade them. For the final step, fry everything together. Serve with jogaetang (clam stew) to enrich the taste of your dish. Koreans mostly eat shellfish soup with nakji bokkeum to reduce its spiciness. So take notes from Jhope and Jin and the next time you visit Korea, do try out the delectable stir-fried octopus in the country. Also here’s a tip, the dish tastes better when it’s home-cooked!
