Star Hotels, Restaurants & Clubs In Karnataka Stops Late Night Parties Due To Rising Covid Cases
Karnataka’s Health Minister K Sudhakar stated that all late-night parties at star hotels and restaurants across the state will be banned to control coronavirus spread. Sharing this news in Kannada, he told DNA India, “All-star hotels and restaurants across the state have been directed to stop late-night parties from Thursday to prevent them from turning into super-spreaders of the pandemic.” This decision was taken after the state saw a record 760 new positive cases, including 488 fresh cases in Bengaluru. This result was received based on tests conducted on Wednesday.

With alarming covid cases from Maharashtra and Kerala’s neighbouring states, the Karnataka government has insisted on a 72-hour negative RT-PCR test report from those entering Karnataka. The health minister, who is also a doctor, reiterated that “We are taking all measures to contain the virus spread in the city. Through the positivity rate, other parts of the state are around 1 per cent and the case fatality rate below 1 per cent across the state.”

Karnataka Has 29 COVID-19 Cases Of The UK Variant
Karnataka’s recent Covid tally has shot up to 9,56,801, including 7,456 active cases. The recovery patient tally is 9,36,947, with 331 patients discharged during the last 24 hours. While several states are witnessing a recent surge of covid patients, Karnataka has also reported its first COVID-19 case of the virus’s South Africa variant. The state also recorded 29 COVID-19 cases of the UK variant as well.
