Winter is not over yet! Many places in different parts of India are shivering in the chilling cold and the temperature is continuing to drop as well. Amid the prevailing harsh conditions of the winter season all around India, Katra in Jammu & Kashmir woke up to heaps of snow surrounding all around on Thursday morning. The views from the Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine are breathtaking with white sheets covering from all around.

Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine Witnessed Snowfall On Thursday

Taking to the X (formerly Twitter) platform, 🇮🇳🧡 (@khushii_2611) shared a beautiful video of the iconic temple in fresh snowfall.

Katra transformed into a serene winter canvas with snowfall this morning. Lucky are those who are witnessing the grandeur of nature’s aura and charm this winter season. From mountains to trees, parts of every other thing are covered with fresh sheets of snow. Along with snowflakes covering everywhere, the temperature has reported a drop as well.

AIR News Jammu (@radionews_jammu) shared some clips of the Shri Mata Vaishno Devi Temple surrounded by snow.

Thousands of devotees visit Mata Vaishno Devi Shrine every day. Looks like the devotional journey became more special for all the pilgrims visiting the temple on Thursday as they witnessed scenic views of the white wonderland in Katra. Many even enjoyed the snowfall during their journey to reach the temple located on the slopes of Trikuta Hills.

Many Places Received Snowfall

lundup dorjay (@lundupladakh) shared a glimpse of the snowfall in Ladakh.

Not just Vaishno Devi Temple and parts of Katra, but several other places also woke up to snowy white surroundings on Thursday. Nearby mountain regions also saw blankets of snow first thing on Thursday morning. Ladakh, Rajouri, Kishtwar, Poonch, and more places received snowfall. The weather predictions have stated about heavy snowfall in the Kishtwar district.

Till February 10, there are chances for the Kashmir Division to see some changes in weather. Also, moderate snowfall is expected in isolated areas of the Jammu Division on February 3 and 4, according to a report by Republic World.
