Tucked away in the middle of the wilderness, at a distance of around 7 kilometres from Dapoli city, lies the ancient Keshavraj temple. The temple is over 5000 years old and is believed to have been built by the Pandavas in a single night. Some other sources say that the construction of the shrine had taken place during the Peshwa period. One can reach the temple after a short trek through a lush green forest dotted with gurgling streams, mango, coconut and cashew trees. Keshavraj temple is one of the best-kept secrets in the Konkan region of Maharashtra.

The Keshavraj temple lies in a hidden village near Dapoli known as Asud and is dedicated to Lord Vishnu. It also has an idol of Lord Ganesha. Drink Natural Stream Water From The Gomukha

The forest trail leading to the temple has around 150 to 200 steps. A trek to the shrine would take around 20 to 25 minutes. A natural stream originating on a hilltop feeds the stone-carved mouth of the cow or Gomukha at the temple. The cold stream water coming out from the cow’s mouth is clean and sweet and can be consumed directly. To reach the temple, travellers can drive till Asud Bag road and then embark on the forest trek.
