When we imagine Kolkata, we visualise bustling streets with yellow taxis, trams, autos, and buses. We can picturise streets bustling with commuters and a lot of crowds and noise all around the city. Well, this is how Kolkata actually looks most of the time but the scenario in April is quite different. Even the crowded places in the City of Joy have hardly some people walking around. And the reason behind this is the unbearable heat outside. It is only April and the temperature is getting intolerable already. Well, the good news is that there might be some rainfall within some days.

West Bengal Might Experience Rainfall In The Next Few Days

If you ask anyone in West Bengal about the weather, the only answer you will hear is that the state is burning. The temperature is getting out of hand with heat waves. The situation turned so bad in the past week that schools and colleges in the state are closed now because of unbearable heatwave conditions. But today seems a little bit different than the scary past week. The temperature is a bit down with flocks of gloomy clouds all around us.

Chances are that the long days of cruel summer may come to a pause for some days. It is being expected that Kolkata and some parts of West Bengal will get rainfall after a dire wait of 21 days. Kolkata might experience a shower on 23 April, according to a report by Times Of India. It is expected that some parts of the state will experience showers on Monday as well.

After a lot of days, there is a bit of respite in the state. The temperature has dropped down a bit in several districts with cloudy weather. Finally, people are getting to see the wind blowing and we cannot express the joy to see such weather after so long.

The temperature exceeded 40°C in the past few days. The people of West Bengal are desperately waiting for some rainfall to cool down the weather for some days.
