It’s that time of the year again! Ever since the COVID-19 pandemic hit the world a few years back, the numbers have been seeing an up and down all around the year. We have seen in the past years that the number of positive cases sees a rise during the period of April-May and exactly the same thing is happening in 2023 as well. Different cities in India are experiencing new COVID-19-positive cases and it is time for us to be precautious once again.
COVID-19 Cases In Delhi Are Increasing With A Soaring Positivity Rate
The health department of the Delhi government released the numbers of positive cases in the national city. According to it, the city reported 1,017 new cases on Monday, as reported by Hindustan Times. The number of positive cases is increasing with a soaring positivity rate of 32.25 per cent. Unfortunately, this is the highest recorded in the city in the last 15 months.

COVID-19 Cases In Mumbai:
The cases are seeing a spike in Mumbai as well. The City of Dreams is witnessing a rise in positive cases in the past couple of days. The number of new cases in Maharashtra was 650 during the last Sunday, and 28 per cent of these cases were spotted in Mumbai.
Positive Cases In Bangalore:
Some metro cities in India are experiencing a surge in positive cases and Bangalore is one of them. Karnataka reported 235 new cases on Sunday, according to a report by The Times Of India. And 117 of these positive cases were reported in the capital itself. Karnataka now has over 2,000 positive cases.

Positive Cases In Kolkata:
In comparison to other states in India, the number of positive cases is comparatively lesser in West Bengal. The state reported 90 positive cases in 24 hours, according to a report by the Union Health Ministry. Among all the districts of the state, Kolkata is currently seeing a rise in positive cases with a positivity rate of 13 per cent. This is the highest positivity rate seen in West Bengal recently.
