KSRTC’s New European-Style AC Sleeper Buses From Bangalore Are Almost Here!

Beginning on February 24, passengers who are willing to pay a little bit more will be able to travel from Bengaluru to other cities in and outside Karnataka on air-conditioned sleeper buses designed in a European style. KSRTC will launch luxury-themed travel with 20 buses from Bengaluru to other cities. Named Ambaari Utsav, these buses are going to be an experience of luxury.

These are multi-axle Volvo 9600s sleeper buses. They have officially been named which has been given the name Ambaari Utsav through an open competition. The Buses will be deployed for travelling to Kundapura, Mangaluru, Panaji, Hyderabad, Pune, Ernakulum, Secunderabad, Thiruvananthapuram, and, Thrissur. There will be 40+2 seats on each bus. 

A total of 35 additional buses will be added by the Karnataka State Road Transport Corporation (KSRTC) after the initial 15 buses. A KSRTC official shared that travelling on these buses will be luxurious, much like on an aeroplane. He also shared that these buses will be operated in cities that are at least a 10-hour drive away.

An open competition was used to choose the name of KSRTC’s newest luxury bus service. With the Ambaari Utsav buses, the government-run transportation agency hopes to challenge the private companies. Until now, these companies have dominated long-distance bus travel out of Bengaluru with their slick, up-to-date, and comfortable buses.

Everything You Need To About Ambaari Utsav

  • The bus is a multi-axle Volvo 9600s sleeper. Its dimensions are 2.6 metres broad by 4 metres high by 15 metres long.
  • The berth will measure 5.9 feet long.
  • Comparing the fare to the Ambaari Dream Class Volvo B11R sleeper bus, the price is 13% more.
  • The equivalent Ambaari Dream Class fares from Hyderabad to Mangaluru are Rs 1,638 and Rs 1,151.
  • The Ambaari Utsav is marketed as offering greater comfort and security.
  • Majestic and Shanthinagar will be the starting points for the Ambaari Utsav bus service to Kerala and other cities, respectively. 

These luxury buses are definitely going to revolutionise the status of travelling in buses in India. It is definitely going to be an experience travelling in Ambaari Utsav buses.
