The Gopal Krishna Gokhale Bridge has been a point of pain for many people who live in the area. One side of the bridge will finally be partially opened today. The bridge closed in 2022 and since then, has caused a lot of inconvenience for the people of the city. Despite its opening today, many residents and locals are still dissatisfied with it. Netizens React Cope With Gokhale Bridge Woes With Memes

After bearing all the inconvenience on account of the construction of the Gokhale Bridge, many people took to X (formerly known as Twitter), to vent their frustrations. And of course, there were memes because laughter is the best way to cope with hard times.

One of the many reasons that the locals are frustrated by the project is that the alignment work of the Barfiwala Bridge is still going on. One person vented his frustration with the unfinished work in a video.

He talked about how the bridge has been under construction for the last six years and has even been demolished at one point. He even highlighted how the Brihanmumbai Municipal Corporation messed up in aligning the bridge properly.

The Inauguration Of One Side Of The Bridge To Happen Today

According to an article which was recently published by Times Now, the bridge will be unveiled by the Guardian Minister Mangal Prabhat Lodha. Many people have even highlighted the inferior quality of the road that has been built.

Many officials have attempted to speed up the project but so far, the impact is hardly, if at all, seen. It is hoped that after the opening of one part today, the work for the rest of the bridge will be completed soon as well.
