Lin Laishram’s Cooking During COVID-19 Brought Her And Randeep Hooda Closer

On this magnificent episode of Sunday Brunch, our Editor-In-Chief Kamiya Jani visited Randeep Hooda and his wife Lin Laishram at their office. We gorged on delicious Manipuri and Haryanvi cuisines. We played fun games with the couple, tested the duo on their linguistic proficiency and got to know about their love story. It turns out that Randeep Hooda and Lin Laishram have known each other for quite some time and got significantly closer during the pandemic.

Randeep Hooda And Lin Laishram Came Closer During Pandemic

While relishing a delicious meal rife with Haryanvi and Manipuri delicacies, we chatted about their relationship and how they came close to each other. Randeep revealed that they actually came very close during the COVID-19 pandemic.

He said that the main reason for that was Lin’s cooking skills. “Kya kya banake khilaya hai yaar isne mujhe! Mai toh paagal ho gaya!” Uttered with excruciating delight, these words convey the magic of Lin’s cooking. 

Hopefully, we will also get to taste these delicacies the next time we have her on our show! Kamiya quipped that the famous adage is indeed true — that the way to a man’s heart is indeed through his stomach.

Lin Was Not Aware Of How Famous He Is

We also learnt that Randeep was actually ignorant about the extent of Randeep’s fame. She wasn’t in the country for that long and therefore had no clue how famous he was. Once they met, sparks flew and the rest is history.

They also revealed that, at this point, they’ve known each other for more than 15 years! Wow, that is quite a long time! With such an extensive history, the fact that they’re together seems only natural.

We also played fun games testing the couple’s linguisti. We tested Lin’s Haryanvi and Randeep’s Manipuri. It turns out that Randeep doesn’t understand a lick of Manipuri so the game had a very clear winner! Click on the link above to witness the game in the full episode!
