For all the caffeine addicts in Dubai, there has not been a better time to be alive. Quaint chains of coffee shops tucked in cul de sacs of Dubai and umpteen malls around the city have seen an exponential rise in creating art around coffee. Perhaps, we live in an “Instagram Worthy” world and coffees that don’t make it to Instagram have not really made it’s way to your heart!

Owing to the talent of these coffee artists, we can now have aromatic coffee that is visually appealing too. If you’ve jumped on the bandwagon for tracing artistic coffee around the city, here’s a curation of coffee art designs that have been etched beautifully into our coffee and memory.

1. Walnut Grove

Walnut Grove is a concept that grew from the heart of South Africa and found its way to Dubai in the form of an authentic rustic boutique serving rich cakes and signature hand roasted coffee. An intimate space that serves a delightful mix of sweet and savory this welcoming cafe will be your neighborhood go-to cafe after one visit.

4. Sprüngli Boutique & Café

 

Headquartered in Zurich, Sprungli has been indulging customers in exquisite Swiss products for over or more than 175 years. Pick your choice of poison from their delicately handcrafted coffee menu and relish their coffee made with beans brought all the way from Milano, Italy. Adding onto this lavish coffee experience is their creativity looming on the surface of your coffee.

5. Baker and Spice

Baker & Spice opened in 2009 and is a concept flown in from London with an organic menu and home cooked dishes. Situated at the base of Burj Al Khalifa, this terrace restaurant enjoys a fantastic view with freshly prepared food to go. Be prepared to see the Burj Al Khalifa drawn on your coffee because that’s their taste of latte art you’re sure to love. You get a chocolate chip cookie with your cozy coffee, making it wholesome!

6. Boon Coffee

Considered a true boon for coffee addicts, their Arabica coffee beans sourced from Ethiopia has earned this cafe loyalists, Starbucks alike. Boon’, is the Ethiopian and Arabic word for coffee (the drink and the bean).They have a variety of coffee presses and brews and they even sell their much-loved coffee beans in tiny bags!

You can never know what to expect on your coffee because it depends on what mood your coffee artist is in. It could vary from anything between cartoon characters, movie stars to landmarks. Maybe throw a hint while ordering your coffee and you may get what you have in mind on your coffee.

A Dubai born artisan company, they vouch for handmade products be it baking their bread in-house or the way they bag their beans. This clean white calming coffee with world-class coffee is your sure cure to a lot of problems. So is the lovely white leaf they draw on their fine coffee.

8. RAW Coffee Company

An Expresso bar as they rightly call themselves is known for their raw perfection in a mug. They grow their coffee beans organically and roast them locally.

They are more than just a coffee shop. They have merchandise and sell their brewing and espresso equipment, lest you love it and want to make a one-time investment. They also have an accredited course program which will teach you how to brew your favorite coffee in the comfort of your house.

With such talent and enterprising individuals running the place, you are bound to find a swan, a heart or an abstract design on your coffee.

9. Attibassi 

Attibassi was born in Bologna in 1918 through the desire of two confectioners: Mr.Agostino Atti and Mr. Marco Bassi. Over the years, they have achieved the ideal coffee through a delicate combination of raw beans and industrial inventions. Now, they add a tinge of creativity to their coffee as well. They offer both Arabica and Robusta bean coffees and are exceedingly popular for their quality standards that stay the same in Bologna and all the way in Dubai.
